Care Guide
● FACTS ABOUT SILVER
925 sterling silver is composed of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper, to give the alloy the necessary hardness for daily wear. Pure silver is too soft to maintain its shape as jewelry, making 925 the highest quality silver standard used in fine jewelry worldwide. Sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time as the alloy reacts with air, humidity, and skin. This is normal, not a defect. The pH of human skin and the composition of sweat also affect how quickly tarnish develops; some people notice it sooner than others. This is completely normal.
● DAILY WEAR CARE Remove pieces when cleaning, bathing, and sleeping, and always keep them away from any heat source. Avoid direct contact with water and chemicals. Chlorine, makeup, soap, perfume, and hairspray can dull the finish of your pieces and cause discoloration or oxidation of the metal. Stones set in the pieces can also be affected by water, chemicals, and humidity. Therefore, we recommend that you do not store your jewelry in the bathroom. Handle your pieces with care and avoid bumping them against hard surfaces, as this could deform or damage them or cause stones to fall out. Keep in mind that wearing multiple rings at once can cause wear, which could affect the wear and tear of the stones. Tip: The general rule is "last on, first off": put on your jewelry after your daily routine and take it off before cleaning, swimming, or intense physical activity.
● HOW TO STORE/CARE FOR YOUR PIECES Store each piece separately to avoid scratching; this is especially important for polished finishes. Choose a dark, cool, and dry place. Humidity and light accelerate tarnishing. For chains and adjustable necklaces, close the clasp in the last hole before storing them to prevent tangling and friction wear. The small case in the packaging is a simple measure to improve long-term preservation.
● OUR STONES Please note that all our stones are carefully selected and come from Mexican suppliers, prioritizing natural materials that retain their beauty, character, and authenticity. Natural stones may have different patterns and a unique appearance for each one. Stones can also have different degrees of hardness, but all are fragile and can break or chip if they hit a hard surface. Pieces should not be pulled or modified to change their shape.
● QUICK ANSWERS
Tarnish Normal and expected. Not a defect, easily restored with a soft cloth.
Water Tap water can dull silver over time. Prefer purified water for cleaning.
Chemicals Perfumes, chlorine, and cleaning products accelerate oxidation.
Storage Dark, dry, separate. A sealed bag is better than an open tray.
Cleaning Soft cloth + purified water, at least once a week. Dry completely afterwards.
Adjustable pieces Resize slowly and infrequently. Repeated bending weakens the metal.
